Kel Diva

Maximum Uniq Hall

/ Seating Arrangement

A living room furnished with English armchairs. An English evening.
In the midst of ruin, Mr. and Mrs. Smith host Mr. and Mrs. Martin in their home — holding on to the last crumbs of their Englishness.
But when there’s not even the slightest sign of a fire, what is the Fire Chief doing standing on Maid Mary’s stool?

If they’re somewhere near London, then who is it that drives us mad?
What is it that makes everything feel so unfamiliar?
If the diva is actually bald, what time will our reality arrive?
Who benefits from keeping this confusion alive?

Let’s not try to find out.
Let’s leave everything as it is. (Shall we?)

Written by Eugène Ionesco, this play blends abstraction and absurdism in a masterfully unique way — and returns to Oyun Atölyesi this season under the title The Bald Soprano, isn’t it?
