Drakula

Inspired by the characters from Bram Stoker’s immortal novel Drakula, this play is rewritten and directed by Okan Bayülgen. One of the most iconic figures in fantasy literature, Drakula is portrayed by Okan Bayülgen himself, while the legendary vampire hunter Van Helsing is brought to life by Hayko Cepkin.

In his reinterpretation, Okan Bayülgen moves the story seventy-seven years beyond the events of the novel — setting it half a century ago from today, at a critical turning point in history.

The live orchestra on stage features Ahmet Güvenç, the bassist of Kurtalan Ekspres and composer of unforgettable melodies.
