"I Need to Lose Myself"

Living in a working-class neighborhood with her two children and husband, Hamiyet endures her poor and weary life by escaping into a completely different dream world. In that world, Hamiyet is important and valuable, both a songwriter and the star of a music band. In those moments, she freely sings her songs, dances, and most importantly, never feels alone. However, after experiencing and witnessing betrayals, humiliations, and disappointments, Hamiyet's connection with reality becomes increasingly severed. In the end, she loses both her home and her imaginary friends, but unlike everyone else, she will continue to live on forever in the memory of a child who refuses to forget her, and in the songs of Peyk.

Set in the world of factory workers impoverished even further by the 1980 coup, where the right to solidarity was taken away, this is the story of a dreamer who bears the burden of being both a worker, a mother, and a woman, crying out, "What did I do to you, world?"
